I went to see the opthamologist yesterday and got no where. On previous visits he's told me to go and see him at the first sign of vision problems, so that's what I did this time. My vision tested slightly off yesterday 20/25 instead of 20/20 that it was a month ago, and his answer is to wait and see because it isn't bad enough!!

I actually saw his colleague first, who is an optometrist, who barely listened to what I was saying, got very frustrated when I couldn't say whether lens 1 or 2 was clearer and put it all down to my prescription changing slightly. If it's my prescription then how come the letters weren't clear and crisp when she corrected my vision! I got the impression that she thought I was deliberately not reading the letters.

I'd actually be happy if it was just a prescription change and was quite willing to try some new contact lenses to see if it improved, but they even decided against that in the end.

It was an exceedingly frustrating morning. I'm now in the process of finding a new doctor...

That does sound like a very frustrating appointment! I'm sorry to hear they didn't seem very proactive in helping you!
